Robert DeMichele inducted into the Society of Flavor Chemists

FFS is pleased to congratulate Robert (Bobby) DeMichele on being voted into the Society of Flavor Chemists as an apprentice member. Bobby has been working in the Flavor Lab at FFS for the past five years preparing for his apprenticeship review.
Artie Foose appointed to Flavor Lab Technician

FFS is pleased to announce Artie Foose has been appointed to Flavor Lab Technician. In his new role, Artie will be responsible for compounding, running sensory panels, evaluating raw materials, and filling sample requests. Artie, a graduate of Ramapo College, joined FFS 3 years ago as a Technician in our Regulatory Department.

Four new sales people added to the FFS Sales team

As part of the continuing expansion of operations, FFS is pleased to announce the addition of four new sales people to the Flavor Sales team. Deborah Duyckinck Flavor Account Executive based in our Mahwah office will be covering the East Coast territory; Alissa Leegwater Coffee Account Executive will be based in our Mahwah office; Cynthia Shanahan Flavor Account Executive will be targeting accounts on the West Coast, along with Arizona and Utah; Sean Traci Flavor Account Executive is responsible for sales, account and business development in the Midwest region.

Jacqueline Hartman hired as Food Technologist

FFS is pleased to welcome Jacqueline Hartman to the flavor business unit as a Food Technologist. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Food Science. She spent her summers interning at Ben and Jerry's Homemade as well as gaining industry experience in the areas of seasoning development, culinary/savory applications and bakery, cereal products.

FFS had a 10x30 booth at this spring's 22nd Annual Specialty Coffee Association of America's Exposition held in Anaheim, CA. Featured at this year's event were our seasonal and classic coffee flavors, as well as two new beverage concepts. Due to the increasing market growth of energy beverages we featured a Hazelnut Spice Coffee Energy Beverage. This ready-to-drink beverage is lightly carbonated, loaded with naturally occurring antioxidants and the popular appeal of hazelnut flavor with a touch of spice. Also on display was our ready-to-drink Persimmon Red Tea combining Rooibos tea with the orchard fruity freshness of persimmon. Paul Riker joins FFS as Product Development Applications Specialist

As part of the continuing expansion of our Flavor Business Unit, Paul Riker has joined FFS as Product Development Applications Specialist. Paul brings over 20 years of experience in positions held such as research scientist, senior food technologist and management in beverage applications. His focus will be on leveraging his applications expertise for new market strategies including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
