Dianne Sansone
Director of Technical Services
As Director of Technical Services, Dianne is responsible for the strategic growth and all commercial development for the flavor and fragrance technical groups. Dianne oversees all creative, applications, and analytical efforts.
As a certified senior flavor chemist Dianne's background includes over twenty years of experience with FFS.
Professionally, she is an active member of the WFFC (Women in Flavor & Fragrance Commerce) where she was honored in 2007, is a member of the Society of Flavor Chemists and has served on the Board of Chemical Sources Association.
Dianne earned her BS degree in Business and Environmental Science at Ramapo College and holds an executive MBA from Anna Maria College.
Dr. Frank Tangel
Director of Technical Applications
As Director of Technical Applications, Frank is responsible for flavor applications, prototype development and flavor optimization in finished products.
Frank has over 35 years of experience in product development, flavor applications and technical sales for the food & pharmaceutical industries. As a certified senior flavor chemist who also holds a doctorate in food science he brings a unique perspective to the technical team.
Frank received his Ph.D. in food science from Rutgers University and is an active member of the SFC (Society of Flavor Chemists) and IFT (Institute of Food Technologists). Recently he authored a chapter in the Handbook of Vanilla Science and Technology, published by Wiley-Blackwell, January 2011.
Steve Orson
Chief Perfumer
As Chief Perfumer, Steve is responsible for custom fragrance design, new ingredient evaluation and overseeing the training of junior perfumer associates.
His career started in the fragrance industry over 40 years ago having worked with several leading international companies. Steve has had numerous commercial successes with his fragrances over the years in personal care, toiletries and household products.
Steve has been an active member of the ASP (American Society of Perfumers) for over 30 years having served on several committees and on their Board of Directors as an Officer, President and Chairman of the Board. Steve was the recipient of The William P. Lambert Service Award from the ASP in 2003.
Janice Ford
Regulatory Affairs Manager
As Regulatory Affairs Manager, Janice leads the department in assuring that all FFS products meet current regulatory requirements. She supports the laboratories in the development of new products and makes certain our customers receive the necessary documentation.
With over 32 years experience in the flavor and fragrance industry as a Flavor Chemist, the last twelve of those years were spent at FFS in the lab developing food flavorings and most recently in the regulatory aspect of the industry.
Janice is an active member of FEMA (Flavor and Extract Manufacturer’s Association), RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials), SFC (Society of Flavor Chemists), IFT (Institute of Food Technologists), and the WFFC (Women in Flavor and Fragrance Commerce). She earned her degree in Biology from William Paterson University.
